The Disabled Person's Perspective:

How we can help: We can provide virtual funding for the purchase of equipment etc., oversee installation and liaise with Access to Work. This will take the financial and administrative onus off the employer, thus removing barriers to the employment of disabled people. How ESS Works: The disabled employee asks their employer to request an assessment by Access to Work. ATW make their assessment and send it to the employer. The employer applies to ESS for a virtual loan enclosing the ATW assessment. The involvement of the employer ends. ESS orders the required equipment, adaptations etc., arranges delivery, invoicing and payment. ESS liaises with ATW for financial reimbursement.

The Employer's Perspective:

If you employ disabled people or are likely to employ disabled people you have a responsibility to provide appropriate equipment, aids & support to enable them to do their job. The Government will fund these adaptations through their Access to Work Scheme. The ATW Scheme works on the basis that the employer purchases any necessary adaptations then reimbursement is made by ATW. How we can Help: We will pay for the adaptations and claim the money directly from the Government. As an employer you can consider employing disabled people without having to worry about the potential financial impact.
